The 5th Stanisław Gorczyca European School on Electron Microscopy and Electron Tomography, organized under auspces of the Rector of AGH University of Science and Technology, Professor Tadeusz Słomka, is dedicated mainly to beginners in electron microscopy and PhD students.
The scope of the School includes lectures and practical sessions focused on electron microscopy (SEM, TEM, STEM), electron tomography and electron holography as well as specimen preparation techniques applied mainly to materials science and physics. The lectures and practical sessions will be given by external experts and the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH-UST) staff.
Based on scientific quality, educational merits, international dimension, and student support of the present event, European Microscopy Society (EMS) has granted the patronage over The 5th Stanisław Gorczyca European School on Electron Microscopy and Electron Tomography.

The language of the School was English.
For practical reasons the expected number of participants was limited to 40.
